Ahiska Turks Friendship Festival: Noon-10:30 p.m. Nov. 30, Kent Event Center, 10120 SE 260th St. Ahiska Turks from Russia celebrate their ninth year in their new homeland with Turkish food, entertainment, artifacts, children’s activities and more. Daytime program highlights: Presentation by Erden Eruc, the first individual to complete a solo circumnavigation of the world by human power; folk dances; music; documentaries; Turkish food demo; hands-on arts and crafts for children; jewelry; hand-made carpet and textile sales. Ticketed evening program highlights: Henna ceremony; costume show; Ahiska and Turkish dinner; Turkish music concert and movie. Admission: Noon to 5:30 p.m. free; 5:30-10:30 p.m. $10 advance tickets.
